TOCO has received a formal letter of appreciation from Vale Oman Pelletizing Company (VALE) Sohar for delivering “Outstanding Performance” during the recently concluded 40 days ‘Cold Shutdown (CSD)’ event.

The shutdown event clocked 600,000 manhours and successfully completed without any Lost Time Incidents (LTI). During this period, preventive maintenance for the major equipment was carried out to improve asset life and reliability.

TOCO has been delivering Planning & Management services to VALE through a long term framework contract awarded in 2019. The scope of the contract covers specialised turnaround, maintenance and materials management services  for VALE’s world class steel pelletizing complex based out of Sohar Industrial City. A highly skilled team of TOCO engineers are assisting VALE around the year in managing the Routine and Reactive maintenance, Sustaining and Engineering projects, Contracts and Materials control, Shutdowns & Turnarounds. The team has extended their support for the VALE CSD-2022 in all phases – starting right from the job list preparation to concluding with the Close-out Report, and in all aspects of planning, coordination & monitoring activities, including assistance in SAP system.

Our sister company AITS , supported the shutdown execution through provision of skilled labour.
