Upstream oil production facilities of one of our major client located in Al Wusta Governorate in Oman underwent a total shutdown as part of an efficiency and production enhancement project . The work was spread over 12 areas with a peak manpower of 180 personnel.

The scope involved cold cutting of pipes, demolition of spools, installation of new spools involving welding, tie-ins, lifting activities, NDT, painting and insulation.

The initial shutdown window was for 24 hours, but with planning and efficient execution, the TOCO team were able to reduce the duration by half and handed over the facilities back to the client within 12 hours. No leaks were found during the start-up period.

The team received appreciation from the client for the outstanding work.
