In line with our ongoing commitment to expand the skilled resource pool of Omani employees, a Lifting Supervision training and certification programme was arranged for selected employees .
Saif Al-Julandani and Mohammed Al-Kalbani, Lifting Supervisor Trainees from Safah and Wadi Laitham were selected to undergo this training with a view to certify them to an internationally accredited Lifting Supervision qualification.
Lifting and rigging are safety critical activities frequently performed within our operations across Oman. There is a significant skill gap in this segment among Omani workforce across the country. TOCO have identified this opportunity and have initiated a programme to build our own Omani skilled workforce to supervise lifting and rigging activities in line with industry best practices.
The training and certification were organised in association with Applus Velosi, one of the leading company globally delivering lifting training, testing and certification programmes.
Both Saif and Mohammed successfully completed the training and secured their valuable certifications.
