Earlier this year, TOCO secured the first position in OXY HSE score card results for 2021 in Oman North and Mukhaizna locations. TOCO also achieved ‘Zero LTI’ across the company in 2021.
These commendable results were achieved as our teams continued to work under challenging and complex oil & gas environment supplemented by the COVID-19 restrictions. Our major HSE initiatives including the Stop Work Authority Champion initiatives have significantly contributed to the safe completion of the year 2021.

Occidental found oil in 1983 at Safah in western Oman, close to the border with the United Arab Emirates. On 6th January 1991, New York Times reported the Safah oil discovery as “A Big Oil Find By Occidental”. The Oman Construction Company L.L.C (TOCO) has been associated with Occidental of Oman Inc (OXY) since 1984 and the relationship still continues. TOCO, credited for building Oman’s first ever oil & gas infrastructure back in 1965, has been building Occidental’s key facilities across Oman for nearly four decades.
