We were awarded a set of work instructions to construct pipelines, tie-ins and associated facilities under the Fresh Water Injection Expansion Project in Oman North. The scope involved construction of a 13 km 8”/6″ water header, 2 km of 4” water line and hook up with wells & pumps.
The new pipelines are running through an existing corridor which is passing through two black top roads and a challenging terrain. The pipeline was laid across the road crossings by Horizontal Thrust Boring technology. Construction. Towards the end, the tie-in which required a facility shutdown was safely executed and the project was completed and handed over in all respects within agreed time schedule.
The project team delivered this critical project for one of our major clients amidst numerous challenges including COVID19 working restrictions.
